Wow its been forever....We're planning a wedding!!

So I was sitting here pinning and realized that since I started wedding planning, I haven't updated my fashion blog once! Im so sad and so sorry, Im hoping I can start updating weekly. I am probably going to post a ton of wedding inspiration and then once I'm married I will post all of the final choices I ended up going with. Wedding planning has been so fun, I never want it to end. In fact I might even want to get into the business eventually (lets see how my wedding turns out first). I have a planner myself but have been taking her ideas and researching a lot which usually results in completely different options/decisions all my own. I like that I have someone to do the coordination and stuff though, shes been amazingly helpful and even got us a venue that I was really in love with, when it was supposed to be fully committed! We are using Barb of White Orchid Weddings, check out their site HERE

We are getting married at a private estate over looking the ocean in Maui on July 23, 2013! I couldn't be more excited. I love the beach so getting to spend a week there with our friends and family for our wedding is going to be amazing, not to mention the view during our ceremony! I cant wait. Here are some pictures that Im using for inspiration:

Bonnie Screams and 5 Nights of Halloween!

My Halloween spirit began as soon as October began, I was dying to get to a haunted house and finally a trip to Bonnie Screams was planned! Sav arranged a dinner at Vintner Grill in Summerlin, there were like 20 XS'ers there, some other friends, and David!  The food was delicious as always and then we were on our way to Bonnie Screams. I had a few drinks at dinner to prepare for the Haunted houses. I didnt need them. Im the biggest baby ever, especially when it comes to haunted houses and sadly I wasn't impressed. I was startled a couple of times but that was it. The pictures were awesome and the company was obviously amazing, if only they had the haunted house part down! Anyways here are the pictures! The outfit I was wearing was a basic white T from american apparel paired with an old pair of jeans, a light brown skinny belt similar one here and a pretty light mint colored scarf from H&M. The headpiece I was wearing was similar to these from Free People . I was wearing over the knee scrunch grey flat boots by Steve Madden (old). oh...and the fringe bag was forever 21!

This led up to five nights of Hell at XS Las Vegas, Hell was the weeklong theme. I really like this theme because I felt like it allowed me to get a basic costume and play off of it for the entire week. We had some really big DJ's that week starting with Sultan and Ned Shepard, Steve Angello, Third Party, Afrojack and Deadmau5. It was a really busy week as usual. I switched my outfits up between a sexy devil and a dead Minnie Mau5! I used some fake blood and black liquid eyeliner for Minnies wounds and wore a black corset similar one here. I paired it with a red bra and matching red panties and half tutu by Leg Avenue, I also wore extra long black leg warmers from American Apparel and some long black satin gloves, paired with devil accessories one night and Minnie accessories the next along with the most awesome silver sequined hotshots from my fav Top Shop, similar style here , I got most of my accessories from Star Costume  which is here in Vegas at Valley View and Desert Inn, they are open year round and have everything including wigs, makeup, shoes, costume rental etc. My Minnie headband came from Disneyland. I loved my costumes I think they were hellish and still hot! Enjoy!

And finally, once it was actually Halloween, we took Lili trick or treating! Town Square closed down the streets to traffic and let the kids walk around trick or treating at all of the stores. It was totally crazy. There were a million people there and it was pretty unorganized. The effort was there but there were just way too many people, so we took that party to a HOUSE PARTYYY which was was more than Awesome. Literally, probably the best Halloween Party I will ever go to in my life. It was thrown by Lori Forman and I was amazed. I mean I knew she was amazing but this party was so perfect. There were trains and people on stilts, endless amounts of food and candy, an awesome Photo Booth, people drawing charactertures, a red carpet, I mean Ahhhhmazing! The last photo I included is my sister as a Zombie Bride w her bf as Zombie hubby! Too awesome not to share...

Fall colors and fab flower crowns by Azeeza!!

I did a post wearing this american apparel dress in a different color previously. Now that we are into fall fashion and cooler weather,  I bought the same dress in black, with these gorg and super soft footless tights in a deep wine color (also from American Apparel). My sister is making these amazing boho, floral headpieces and I had to show them off! Even Lili got one! To order one, just send her a message on Facebook click here for her page. Let me know what you think. :)

Sweaters, Scarves, Bag Ladies and Babies!

Fall is here and Im loving every second of the weather change. I love wearing leggings with scarves, over sized sweaters, leg warmers, furry boots, basically anything a glam bag lady would be caught wearing (if that is such a thing) is what I love for fall. #LAYERS. Last week we went to see "Titi Rach" again in Newport. The weather was amazing,  and this time my brother came with us and we had a blast. Liliana totally loves her "Duncle". We rented a boat the first day and saw a bunch of seals, ate some good meals, played on the beach, visitied the Santa Ana Zoo, and just kicked it. There are two non traditional malls or "anti-malls" about 15 minutes from my sisters place in Newport, they are in Costa Mesa and they are awesome. The Camp and The Lab. I got some really cute skeleton leggings from a store at The Lab, you can find the same ones here I also got matching ones for Lili, you can find toddler ones here. We wore them the same day and so many people stopped us asking where we got them. If you are in orange county and like hipster stuff I'd check out both of these places. LAB stands for Little American Business and thats exactly what they are all about, super awesome!

Another look I thought was cute was the bag lady-ish, layered look. I got these really cute leggings from the kids section of H&M, im a zero in pants normally and the kids 11-12 fit me perfect. Obviously the leggings run really big, I got matching ones for Lili size 1 1/2-2 yr and they are actually long on her, a rare occurrence for my baby giraffe.  The H&M leggings were around 17$ You can shop H&M online but I found similar ones here.  I paired the leggings with some comfy slip on leather boots that I bought in Europe last year, Minnetonka's would be cute too, here are some I found on Nordstrom.com, omg and im soooo getting Lili these!  Had to post the pic because they are too adorable!
I wore a plain tank underneath and an oversized sweater from forever 21, similar one here by Hinge at Nordstrom. I accessorized with a grey infinity scarf like this one from american apparel. Bottom picture features the pants with my new ISABEL MARANT wedge sneakers, they are sold out everywhere. I ordered mine from a site called lagarconne.com they also have similar ones here and here

fringebag forever 21: soldout similar one from Urban Outfitters

Here are some extra pics from our little getaway, enjoy...

Date night at Guy Savoy!

Last thursday night David made a reservation at Guy Savoy at Caesars Palace where we splurged on the thirteen course "Innovation" tasting. In addition to it being our choice for date night, it was also a celebration, I quit my juice cleanse! I ordered 18 juices from Pressed Juicery, prepared for a few days before, ate only raw the day before and then made it through a day and a half before being tempted at Arielle's bridal shower by the delicious Cafe Rio chicken enchiladas. I felt like a total failure but I also felt soooo satisfied by that first bite of actual food in days! The juices from Pressed are absolutely delicious I totally recommend their cleanses, I just couldn't deal with the headaches that are a part of the detoxing and non eating process. Some people don't experience this, I totally did (maybe I wasn't drinking enough H2O). Either way it sounded amazing, I couldn't handle the fasting but if you have the will power check them out, David did the cleanse and continued to eat vegan for eleven days after his cleanse so its totally possible.

So for date night I wore a really cute American Apparel dress in "shiny peach", with a French Connection cardigan (last season) but there is a similar one here, I paired a black skinny belt and black thigh highs which gave it a little french flair. I also work mid rise brown booties from Zara (last season) but found similar ones from Nordstrom. I did a really girly look when it came to hair and makeup and I really like how it all came together, I think it was a feminine effortless look with a little grunge flair with the cardigan and boots. A "fall look" for sure!
